# Setup Examples

## ADAT I/O with WING

The SC-ADAT provides 16 ADAT inputs and 16 ADAT outputs through StageConnect to consoles and interfaces such as the Behringer WING.

In the setup below, the ADAT device remains independently clocked from the StageConnect Host, in this case the WING console.

The ADAT outputs from the SC-ADAT can be synced either to the ADAT device or to the StageConnect Host.

## ADAT Tunnel over StageConnect

Two SC-ADATs can be used to establish a StageConnect tunnel to connect two ADAT devices up to 40 m apart, instead of the typical maximum distance of 5 m to 10 m possible with optical cables.

In the setup below, the SC-ADAT connected to device A acts as the StageConnect Host and supplies power to the second SC-ADAT over StageConnect.

The StageConnect tunnel is independently clocked, isolated by the asynchronous sample rate converter in each SC-ADAT.

The SC-ADAT connected to device B allows this ADAT device to follow the StageConnect clock (SYNC button pressed) or its own internal clock (SYNC button not pressed).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.behringer.com/mixers/sc-adat/setup-examples.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
