1. MIC/LINE/INSTRUMENT input (MIC/LINE on DICE 1U2): combo jack for microphones (XLR), line sources (TRS/TS) and Hi-Z instruments (TS)
2. Gain knob adjusts the corresponding input level. Refer to the specifications table for the gain ranges.
3. 48V switch turns phantom power on and off. Phantom power is applied to all microphone inputs at once; it cannot be switched per channel. Disconnect ribbon microphones and any other equipment that may be damaged by phantom power before switching it on.
4. MAIN 1-2 knob adjusts the output level of the MAIN outputs on the rear panel.
5. MIDI IN/OUT LEDs indicate MIDI signal activity.
6. USB LED indicates that the unit is powered on and connected to a USB host.
7. Phones knob adjusts the headphone output level.
8. INST/LINE switch selects between instrument and line level sources connected via TS/TRS cables.
9. SHINE switch activates a high shelf filter that gently enhances the top end.
10. Mono/Stereo switch selects how the inputs are heard in direct monitoring. In mono, all inputs are panned center. In stereo, odd-numbered inputs are panned left and even-numbered inputs are panned right.
11. IN/PB (Input / Playback) knob blends the direct monitoring signal with the playback signal from the USB host.
12. 1-2/3-4 switch selects the stereo pair heard through the front headphone output.
13. 1/4" headphone output

14. USB-C connector for power
15. USB-C connector for audio and power
16. MIDI IN/OUT connectors (5-pin DIN)
17. Line outputs 3-4 (TRS balanced)
18. Line outputs 1-4 (RCA unbalanced): outputs 1 and 2 carry the same signals as TRS line outputs 1-2
19. Line outputs 1-2 (TRS balanced)
20. MAIN outputs (TRS balanced): duplicate of line outputs 1-2, with level controlled by the MAIN 1-2 knob, item 4
21. MAIN outputs (XLR balanced): duplicate of line outputs 1-2, with level controlled by the MAIN 1-2 knob, item 4
22. INSERT points (TRS, unbalanced): use a TRS to dual TS cable (splitter or "Y" cable), with the tip conductor as the send (output from the interface) and the ring conductor as the return (input to the interface)

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.behringer.com/usb-audio-interfaces/connectors-and-controls.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
